LinkedIn's Save button on job listings is the default way to bookmark roles while you compare offers — until the employer closes the posting, your Premium trial ends, or you lose access to a work account. Saved jobs live inside LinkedIn's Job tracker (formerly My Jobs), but they are not permanent records. This guide shows where to find saved jobs on web and mobile, what Premium changes, why listings vanish, and how to preserve opportunities outside the platform.
What a saved job actually is
Saving a job creates a bookmark tied to your LinkedIn member account pointing at a live job posting. It is not a downloaded job description, not a PDF offer, and not synced to your calendar. When the employer fills the role or unpublishes the listing, the saved entry may show No longer accepting applications or disappear entirely.
Treat saved jobs as short-term pointers, not an applicant tracking system.
Where to find saved jobs on LinkedIn (web)
- Go to linkedin.com/jobs or click Jobs from the home icon bar.
- Open the Job tracker in the left rail (some accounts still see the legacy My Jobs label while LinkedIn rolls the rename out).
- Select the Saved tab.
You should see cards with title, company, location, and save date. Click through to the live posting while it still exists.

Where to find saved jobs in the mobile app
- Tap Jobs in the bottom navigation (or For You → Jobs depending on app version).
- Tap My Jobs (bookmark icon on some builds).
- Open Saved.
Pull to refresh if a listing you saved yesterday already closed — LinkedIn updates status asynchronously.
If you saved a job on mobile but cannot find it on desktop, confirm you are signed into the same LinkedIn account — work SSO and personal accounts are often separate profiles.
Saved vs applied vs viewed

Applied jobs retain more metadata in Get a copy of your data exports than saved-only bookmarks — but neither replaces a spreadsheet you control.
What LinkedIn Premium adds to saved jobs
LinkedIn's current tiers are Premium Career, Premium Business, and Premium All-in-One (Sales Navigator and Recruiter Lite are sold separately). None of them changes how saving jobs works, but they add job-search context:
- Applicant insights — approximate candidate counts and skill comparisons on some listings
- Salary insights — where LinkedIn has data and employers allow display
- Featured Applicant or Top choice options on select applications (product varies by region)
- InMail credits to contact recruiters directly
Premium does not:
- Keep saved jobs alive after employers close postings
- Export saved jobs automatically to Excel on a schedule
- Guarantee interview responses
Canceling Premium does not delete your saved jobs list, but insight badges disappear when the subscription ends.
Do not pay for Premium solely to "store" jobs longer — saved listings still expire with the employer's posting. Copy details externally instead.
Why saved jobs disappear
- Employer closed or filled the role — most common
- LinkedIn removed the listing for policy or duplicate reasons
- Account deactivation — you lose access until reactivated
- Company page merged or renamed — URL may break
- You hit the saved-job cap — LinkedIn caps saved jobs at 2,000 at a time (jobs you applied to do not count), so older saves may need pruning
When a posting closes, you often lose the full description text unless you copied it — LinkedIn may show a stub only.
How to save jobs outside LinkedIn
Build a simple personal system:
- Spreadsheet — company, title, URL, date saved, contact, status, notes.
- PDF or print — browser Print → Save as PDF on the listing page while live.
- Notes app — paste description and salary range with the apply link.
- Calendar reminder — follow-up date before typical closing windows.

Back up before you rely on saved jobs
Job hunts stretch months. Recruiters rewrite postings; LinkedIn links rot. Before you depend on the Saved tab:
- Export LinkedIn data periodically while employed or searching.
- Screenshot or PDF each listing when you save it, not when you finally apply.

Saved jobs vs job alerts
Job alerts email or notify you when new listings match keywords. Saved jobs track specific postings you already found. Use both, but copy critical saves offline — alerts will not resurrect a closed job's full text.
Easy Apply and saved jobs workflow
A practical search loop:
- Save interesting roles to My Jobs.
- Same day, copy title, req ID, and description to your spreadsheet.
- Customize resume once per company cluster, not once per accidental double-save.
- Apply via Easy Apply or external site; move row to Applied in your sheet.
- Weekly, prune saved jobs that closed and request LinkedIn export if you had many applications that week.
LinkedIn's Applied tab helps, but your spreadsheet survives account issues and includes notes LinkedIn does not store.
When recruiters close listings early
Companies sometimes remove LinkedIn postings while interviews continue — the save stub may vanish without warning. If you are mid-process, copy the job description and recruiter name immediately after the first call, not when you receive an offer. Leaving a company LinkedIn account
If your LinkedIn login is a work-issued SSO account, saved jobs and InMail history may become inaccessible on your last day without warning. Export Get a copy of your data and copy saved jobs before IT disables the account. Personal job searches should run on a member account you own, not a shared recruiting seat.
Notifications and saved jobs
LinkedIn may email Job alert digests separately from saved listings. Turning off marketing email does not delete saved jobs, but you might miss reminders that a saved posting is Closing soon — if that banner appears, copy the description the same day. Push notifications on mobile help for time-sensitive roles; they do not replace an offline copy when the listing disappears overnight.
