How to Verify an Instagram Backup

A downloaded Instagram export is not automatically a verified backup. Verification means checking what you requested, whether the archive is usable, and whether its limits match what you need. The practical checks below are guidance for evaluating an archive, not requirements stated by Instagram.

Review your Instagram account information

Instagram says you can review your information in Account history in its Help Center.
